Editorial Standards

Purpose of the catalogue

The EQTOO Public Domain Literature Library provides readers with a curated selection of public-domain works, primarily essays, letters, speeches, and related nonfiction. The catalogue aims to make these texts discoverable and to offer contextual notes that clarify their content and historical significance.

Scope and selection

All books in this catalogue are sourced from Project Gutenberg, a volunteer-driven digital library of public-domain texts. The selection Catalogue maintenance uses source records and bibliographic context. The current catalogue includes 92 books across four categories.

Source attribution

Each book record includes the publisher attribution to Project Gutenberg. No claim is made that every work has been manually read in full; catalogue notes are based on sample readings, metadata, and contextual research.

Bibliographic records

Every entry includes the title, author(s), publisher, subject keywords (drawn from Library of Congress or Project Gutenberg), target-reader note, and a descriptive catalogue note. Editorial reading context
